Stacks from boilers, emissions from generators and several other industrial specific processes emit contaminants such as carbon monoxide (CO), sulphur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter, dusts, and other gases into the environment. These emissions compromise the air quality and potentially have a detrimental health effects and as such, the emissions are regulated.
